Inderal (Propranolol)

The active ingredient of Inderal is propranolol. It protects the heart against stress exaggerated. It decreases myocardial work and reduces the heart‘s reaction to stress. Inderal causes lowering of blood pressure in hypertension. When the heart does not receive enough oxygen during exercise, it appears the attacks of angina pectoris (sharp and oppressive pain in the left side of the chest, which may radiate to the left arm). Inderal prevent these attacks or reduce their frequency and intensity of pain. Inderal is also used after a heart attack to prevent the occurrence of other infarction. Inderal can normalize the heartbeat irregularities or rapid heartbeat caused by disease or stress. Inderal prevents headaches circulatory origin and migraine. Other areas of use of Inderal: essential tremor, thyroid disease (hyperfunction of the thyroid gland), adrenal tumor (pheochromocytoma, only in combination with other drugs) and anxiety disorders.

Inderal should be used only on prescription and under the continuous supervision of a physician.
